This is an Alaska Zoo BINKY the World Famous Polar Bear Bookmark with cotton ball top. Its measures approx 6-3/4-inches length and 2 inches wide The Alaska Zoo honored BINKY the Polar Bear with this bookmark and other items for BINKY Day. In 1995 BINKY became world famous for grabbing the foot and shoe of a zoo goer who went into the Polar Bear enclosure. He ended up with her sneaker in his mouth, as shown in this pin. Binky became famous for this and the zoo released various mementoes of the occasion. This bookmark has never been exposed to smoke, perfume, scent of any kind and never used. Just as I bought it from the zoo that year. Great item, just as it came from the Alaska Zoo in 1995.
