Handwrought New Mexico nickel silver cuff bracelet and matching pierced earrings featuring oval bezel-set red cabochons that appear to be carnelian. This unidentified signed artisan set has a clean Southwestern/modernist design with a wide cuff and coordinating earrings. The bracelet is an open cuff with slight adjustability for a comfortable fit. Both pieces are in very good pre-owned condition with light surface wear and patina consistent with age and use. I love the rolled sterling and the porous texture of the coral. I looked and looked but saw no markings. I have no problem saying they are sterling. The acid was definitely bright red. A very kind person with more knowledge than me messaged me with information about the blue coral, noting the porous insides and the pits on the outside. She suggested these are Native American made and if that is correct, that the fossilized coral could have been sourced from West Virginia or Florida. I love learning new things at this stage of my life. Thank you to that new teacher of mine!
