This is an artisan wearable pin from the Doe Cross Hayes jewelry line. This jewelry line specializes in miniature Asian inspired mixed media artwork. The brooch beautifully mimics a classic hanging wall scroll but is scaled down to be able to be worn as a brooch. Handcrafted by the artist and hand signed “Doe” on the reverse side. The construction layers natural lacquered twigs, fine wire, painted textured paper, and as an organic focal piece a freshwater pearl to create a beautiful and elegant 3-D wearable composition. The scroll features a small vertical strip of paper with handwritten Kanji/Hanzi characters. Truly an elegant and stunning peace.
