Vintage Handmade Marjorie Baer Brass, Silver and Glass Pendant Necklace & Drop Dangle Earrings weighing approximately 20.87 total grams for pendant and chain and approximately 3.80 grams total for the earrings. The pendant has a hammered texture and is suspended from an approximately 28 1/2 - 32 1/2 inch brass snake chain (lengthens with the extended links), and the pendant measures approximately 2 1/2 inch x 1 inch. The earrings measure approximately 1 5/8 inch including the ear wires. The necklace has the attached oval tag marked BAER SF with a copyright mark. A great necklace and earring set for everyday wear. For over 45 years, Marjorie Baer has been designing modern, sculptural jewelry. Each piece is hand-made in the San Francisco Bay Area from quality materials with craftsmanship and attention to detail. Utilizing deep gold tones, bright polished silver, and rich oxidized metals. Her designs are elegant, architectural, bold, and distinctive with easy balance, dramatic movement, and light-weight layers. She has become known over the years for her eye for mixed metals. She also uses a variety of hammering techniques to manipulate the metal into different forms and to add unique texture. Each piece is comfortable, versatile, and made to enhance the style of the wearer. My husbands father brought back many lovely pieces of jewelry, porcelain, clothing, perfumes, and household items to his new bride upon his return from Europe after WWII. Many of the items have gone to family, but there are still many items that need a home, and they are listed here. There are also other items, long held family treasures that also need to find new homes, as we have no room in ours for them. Many of them have been passed on from generation to generation over 100's of years. We hope they find a home with you. I bought many gemstones, carvings, minerals, gold, and other fine items while in the jewelry industry. Many of them I made into jewelry that I sold, but I am now selling all of the pieces that I have, since I no longer have the time to devote to jewelry making.
